Insty-Bit® Extension 6

Struggling to fit your drill into tight spaces? No need to buy a new set of longer bits - simply insert your existing 1/4" hex-shank drill bits or driver bits into one of these extensions. The 12" extension allows most users to reach an 8' ceiling without a ladder, and you can even align multiple extensions for a total reach of 21"! Please note that these extensions are not compatible with impact tools.

Each extension comes with a 1" #1 Plain Hex Phillips Bit and a 2" #2 Power Groove Phillips Bit. With a small 5/8" diameter, the chuck can fit through slim holes, increasing its versatility. This chuck allows for true one-handed operation - just push the bit into the chuck. The patented All-Hex Design securely holds bits in place, even while removing them from holes. It offers a positive action that only releases when you want it to. The chuck can accommodate any 1/4" (6 mm) hex shank accessory, with or without a power groove, and it is the only chuck that accepts all standards - ANSI, JIS, and DIN.

Made with a black oxide finish and a plated steel chuck, this chuck provides excellent corrosion resistance. It replaces all magnetic and non-magnetic bit holders, and the Quick Change hex-shank and hardened extensions optimize drill torque. It is compatible with all keyed and keyless chucks, and it works with both corded and cordless drills. Additionally, this chuck is the only one that can hold all screwdriver bits that are 1" and longer, making it ideal for use with high-speed drill bits, spade bits, hole saws, screwdriver bits, and all 1/4" hex shank power tool accessories.
